Meg Raymore, Owner/Creative Director

A Truckee native, Meg began her career in corporate identity as Brand Development Manager at San Francisco-based, bath and body company, Essentiel Elements. Returning to Truckee in 2000, Meg co-founded and served as Director of Marketing for Gamet Technology, a casino software company in Reno, NV. Following her venture into the world of online technology, Meg served as Director of Marketing for several locally owned businesses, and in early 2005, she left the corporate world to start SmallPond Studio, where she can freely explore her passion for design.

Meg enjoys sharing her marketing experience with local nonprofits, and she currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, the Stanford Alumni Club of Northern Nevada & the Sierra, and the Rotary Club of Truckee. Meg is an active member of the Truckee Chamber of Commerce and the Truckee Downtown Merchants Association. Meg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University.

As owner of SmallPond, Meg acts as creative director and project manager for all major accounts. Meg also serves as designer, illustrator, and copywriter on many of the firm’s projects.

Renée Deinken, Director of Web Development

Renée Deinken oversees all of SmallPond's web design and development projects and assists in various areas of marketing and public relations.

She grew up in Southern California and graduated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in journalism. In 2002, Renée traded the beach for the mountains and moved to Truckee to work at the Sierra Sun newspaper.

At the Sierra Sun, she led the paper's award-winning redesign and managed special publication projects. She left her post as assistant editor of the Sun for a career in web development.

Renée enjoys the techie problem-solving side of web development, as well as the human side of working with clients and managing projects.

She now lives in Kings Beach with her husband, son, and two adopted mutts, Peanut and Wheeler.

Shannon Reilly, Senior Designer

Shannon Reilly is an award-winning graphic designer who began her career in fashion marketing after graduating Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. Upon moving to Truckee in 1997, Shannon worked for various local companies, including Squaw Valley Ski Corp, the Resort at Squaw Creek, and Truckee Physical Therapy. During that time she freelanced for several hospitality and real estate clients, and in 2005 she enrolled in the Graphic Communications program at TMCC in order to formalize her passion for design. Prior to joining SmallPond in 2007, Shannon worked as a graphic artist for the Sierra Sun, Truckee's local newspaper.

As Senior Designer at SmallPond, Shannon handles all areas of graphic design, with a particular focus on illustration and logo/corporate identity design.

Will Porter, Designer/Developer

Will Porter assists in all areas of website development, social media, and print production at SmallPond Studio.  

Will graduated from James Madison University in 2006 with a degree in Interactive Design from the School of Media Arts and Design.

Prior to joining SmallPond, Will worked for several years at the award-winning New York City interactive agency, Situation Interactive. Choosing to give up the big city life, Will moved to the Tahoe area in 2009 and began working as a freelancer.  

In January of 2012, Will joined the SmallPond crew to continue his growth in the world of web development and design.
