Renee Deinken grew up in Southern California and graduated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in journalism. In 2002, she traded the beach for the mountains and moved to Truckee to work at the Sierra Sun newspaper.
At the Sierra Sun, Renee led the paper’s award-winning redesign and managed special publication projects. She left her post as assistant editor of the Sun to study web development and pursue her love of design. Prior to joining SmallPond, Renee owned marketing and design firm Buzz Design Group.
With SmallPond, Renee oversees all web design and development projects, and assists in various areas of marketing and public relations.
Renee is secretary of the North Tahoe Business Association Board of Directors and also lends her design and marketing skills to the NTBA’s Promotions Committee. In her spare time, she volunteers with the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe.
Renee enjoys long walks in Kings Beach with her husband, Andy, and snuggling by the fire with their two adopted mutts, Peanut and Wheeler.
